Sorority Noise have been incredibly busy lately and yet they’ve still managed to find time to put out a four track EP. If you’re only a fan of the band’s slightly more upbeat stuff then It Kindly Stopped for me probably isn’t gonna be for you. To be honest, it’s the type of music you listen to when you wanna lie on your bed, have a good cry and wallow in self-pity, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. All four songs are packed with absolute raw emotion and seem to blend together seamlessly to create a stream of consciousness type of effect. The standout track is definitely Fource. It separates itself from the others by use of spoken word and the rhythmic sound of footsteps, which create the back drop to this guy’s journey. He is completely lost. Loss is at the heart of It Kindly Stopped for me, you can hear it in every single note.
