With only three weeks to go until 2000 Trees kicks off, everyone’s already decided on who their gonna catch and seen countless of these ‘must-see’ lists. However, this one’s a little different: we’ve picked out just one act from each day that we reckon you should add to your pre-festival playlist.

THURSDAY: BEN MARWOOD Thursday is definitely all about the Xtra Mile takeover on the Axiom stage and all the hype over who the special guest headliner is gonna be (possibly Frank Turner?). Our most anticipated part of the day though is a rare live performance by Ben Marwood, who is back and on top form. His acoustic sound, and self-aware lyrics are the perfect way to start the weekend. Make sure you get down early though as he’s one of the first acts on.

FRIDAY: MUNCIE GIRLS Muncie Girls are making waves in the indie-punk scene right now: Not only are they fresh off tour with Beach Slang but they’ve recently been announced as the main support for a couple of Moose Blood’s warm up gigs next month. The combination of Lande Hekt’s nineties-girlband style vocals and the rocky nature of their tracks creates a really unique sound. They’re playing twice on the Friday so you really have no excuse to miss them.

SATURDAY: NARCS If you’ve been following RACKET for a while, then you’ll probably have noticed that we seem mildly obsessed with NARCS. They’re heading down to 2000 Trees straight after launching their second album at Brudenell Social Club in Leeds on the Friday night so it’s pretty likely that we’ll get to hear some of their new tracks. The alt-rock anthems that these guys keep bringing out were made for festivals.
