ALBUM REVIEW: ROB LYNCH W/ ‘BABY I’M A RUNAWAY’
Baby, I’m A Runaway is the second full-length offering from Lincolnshire lad Rob Lynch. After a really strong debut in 2014, with All These Nights In Bars Will Somehow Save My Soul, our expectations of this album were pretty high and Rob more than delivers. The album almost feels like it has two different personalities and can be pretty much divided in half: The first being a completely pumped-up, full band singalong with tracks such as Selfish Bones and Prove It! which beg you to shout out the chorus at the top of your lungs. And the second being the much more sombre side of Rob, more fitting with his previous material. Tectonic Plates is packed with emotion and showcases his beautiful story-telling ability perfectly. Lynch just goes from strength to strength.
